| Donn, your outfitter and guide, is also the fly fishing guide training school director
and instructor. He has been an outdoorsman in Montana for 45 years. He taught
and directed a college level forestry program for 22 years in western
Montana and his program provided elective courses in fly fishing techniques,
fly tying, fly casting, and wilderness river rafting. Donn won
the 1988 FFF national fly casting championship in West Yellowstone.
David, Donn's son, began fly fishing at age 6, and won the national junior fly
casting championship at age twelve. He obtained a FFF certified
casting instructor certification in 1999 in New Mexico and was one
out of the five fly fishers in that state to hold that title at that
time. For the last 14 years David, who is a dedicated fly fisher of
23 years, has professionally guided in Montana, New Mexico, Idaho,
the Mexican Caribbean, and the slopes of the Western Sierra in
California. He makes many trips back to the Clark Fork lodge every
year to visit his Dad and home waters, he now guides out of Bishop
California in the heart of the Eastern Sierra.
