"Donn Dale's Clark Fork River Flyfishing Guide
School completely answered all my questions and beyond, allowing me to
start both my businesses sooner then I ever thought possible; Kern River
Flyfishing Guide Service and Kern River Troutfitters Fly shop. I will
only hire prospective guides who have completed this school."

Donn
Dale’s
Fly Fishing Guide School was a great experience for me. I’ve
been fly fishing for more than 40 years and had been thinking
about moving toward a second career of guiding for a while. The
school really helped convince me that I had what it took. It
sharpened the edge of the many skills that a guide needs, such
as casting, drift boat tactics and streamside entomology. As
a bonus, the scenery, the company and the food was all great.
I am now a licensed guide in Montana and Wisconsin, with a special
focus on fishing for great lakes steelhead.

"I
have been a guest at Clark Fork River Outfitters for the
last seven years. Each visit lasted for one week and involved
flyfishing for 5 straight days each trip. The dry fly fishing
on the Clark Fork is the best I have ever experienced.
Throwing a dry fly to rising trout is a frequent occurrence
and hook ups are a thrill. A 20 fish day were often the
results. Accommodations are rustic and access to the river
is excellent as cabins over look the river. Food is plentiful
and the home cooking is yummy. Guiding on the river is
offered and the guides are intimately familiar with the
whims of the Clark Fork River. I have fished areas of the
river from Missoula to the Flathead River with good results
in all areas. For an overall excellent flyfishing experience
there is little to compare."

"From
insect identification to cooking a hot meal, Donn taught us the
skills necessary to become successful fly fishing guides. It
was an unforgettable experience spending two weeks at the rustic
Clark Fork River Lodge learning how to become better anglers and
guides. Donn shared a tremendous amount of information with us
that I have used in my guide trips. I would recommend this school
to anyone interested in becoming a fly fishing guide."
